About LIDOSOM

The Somali Livelihood Initiative and Disability Organization (LIDOSOM) is a national, non-profit, and non-partisan development organization established in 2015. LIDOSOM is dedicated to promoting the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized communities across Somalia.

Headquartered in Luuq, Gedo Region, with a sub-office in Mogadishu, LIDOSOM operates at the community level to deliver impactful and sustainable programs. The organization focuses on supporting people with disabilities, women, and children—ensuring equitable access to opportunities, services, and protection.

Through its interventions, LIDOSOM strives to build resilient communities where no one is left behind, fostering dignity, self-reliance, and social inclusion for all.

Mission

Provide sustainable, appropriate, innovative life supporting programs for people with disability, marginalized and minority groups, women and children in Somalia to have access to quality health care, education, food security, nutrition, protection and public integration through mobilizing resources.
