Last week, we had the opportunity to visit Yurkud Primary School, where we were warmly welcomed by dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students. 🙏🏽

As schools have just reopened, we’re working to raise awareness, mobilize communities, and support both educators and learners. Our visit shed light on the critical challenges this school is facing:

📚 Severe shortage of textbooks, chalk, and basic learning materials
🪑 Students sitting on the floor due to lack of desks and chairs
🏫 Only 5 classrooms, used in shifts to accommodate all students
🚰 Just 1 water point and 1 toilet for the entire school
🍲 No feeding program or sanitation supplies
👩‍🏫 Teachers working without any organizational support or consistent salary

➡️ There is currently no organization supporting this school.

We are appealing to aid agencies, education partners, and community leaders to step in and support Yurkud Primary School. Every child deserves a safe, well-equipped place to learn, and every teacher deserves the resources to teach effectively.
