LIDOSOM Participates in WASH in Schools Learning Exchange in Nairobi

LIDOSOM was honored to participate in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools Learning Exchange held on 3–4 June 2026 at the Kenya Water Institute in Nairobi, Kenya. The event was organized by Aqua Clara Kenya in partnership with the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST).

The Learning Exchange brought together organizational leaders, program managers, and WASH practitioners from across the region to share experiences, lessons learned, and innovative approaches for improving WASH services in schools. The sessions focused on strengthening access to safe water, adequate sanitation facilities, hygiene promotion, and sustainable school WASH programming.

Through interactive discussions and peer learning, participants explored practical solutions to enhance healthy learning environments and improve the well-being of school children. The exchange also provided a valuable platform for networking, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices among organizations working in the WASH sector.

LIDOSOM appreciates the opportunity to engage with fellow practitioners and partners committed to advancing WASH in Schools initiatives. The knowledge and insights gained will contribute to our ongoing efforts to support vulnerable communities and promote access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Aqua Clara Kenya and CAWST for organizing this important learning event and fostering collaboration among stakeholders dedicated to achieving Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

Together, we can create safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environments where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
