2. Local Consortium Proposal: A proposal was introduced for the establishment of a local consortium, wherein 100% of management responsibilities would be vested in national organizations, fostering local ownership and leadership.
3. Addressing Funding Challenges: Gaps and constraints faced by national organizations in securing funds were thoroughly deliberated, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions.
4. Funding Success Story: LIDOSOM, a major local organization, secured funding for a localization project through SIDA HUM, demonstrating successful implementation and serving as a model for other local actors.
5. Importance of Localization: The workshop underscored the significance of localization, highlighting its potential for local NGOs to access more than 75% of funds directly from donors, thereby promoting sustainability and autonomy.
6. Indirect Cost Incorporation: Participants recommended the inclusion of indirect costs in every project budget, earmarking resources for organizational capacity development.
